I saw this movie in theaters, multiple times. The cinematography was top notch and for me, very few compare. Absolutely stunning shots.

its a good modern Ian Fleming interpretation i will say and a good movie. There are better but i don't think she has the attention span to deal with slower story unfolding in films like From Russia with Love, The Man with the Golden Gun, Goldfinger, Dr No but glad she is consuming these films.

Will you be watching any real James Bond movies or are you just watching the Jason Bourne wannabe Bond films? You should at least watch Goldfinger. It made Bond a worldwide phenomenon and spawned a ton of imitators in the 60s on the big screen and on TV. The Man from UNCLE, Mission: Impossible, Get Smart, I Spy all premiered on TV following Goldfinger. Goldfinger also introduced the Aston Martin DB5 back when it wasn't "vintage". Goldfinger established many of the tropes that Bond films included for decades. Including the opening pre-credits mini-adventure, the improbably named Bond girl, the henchman with a gimmick, and the gadget laden car.

2:13 you've definitely seen that gun. You just havent seen a drum magazine that large designated for that gun. It was just a glock (i believe. It was hard to see on my phone screen) its probably the most common pistol seen in modern films. The magazine was probably a 100rd (rounds) magazine

This is my favorite Bond movie (and movies in general) for a different reason. When this came out I had literally just put my dog down because of aggressive cancer. I was a complete wreck and saw that this was playing in the theaters so I decided to go see it -- not because I wanted to see it or loved Bond movies, but I just needed to focus my attention on something else for a little while. This movie managed to grab my attention and hold it for over 2 hours. It gave me the break I needed and for that I'm so grateful. I have seen this movie a ton of times, but it never gets old. The cinematography is fantastic, the villain is top notch, and it has a great story. I am so thankful that this movie exists.

Great movie. I don't understand though how the bullet fragments Bond pulls out of his shoulder that are analyzed come back to the guy on the train he was fighting when the girl shot him and not that guy. Guess she picked up one of his guns?

This is not a huge complaint but a small one. The problem with watching the Bond Films out of order is you don't get the Easter Eggs and this movie had a ton of them from the Bonds from the past. They all have small ones but this one had huge ones all surrounding the car and its gadgets including the Radio that "Saved" him from the island. I might suggest you pause on the Craig ones here and Start from Dr. No. The next 2 Craigs are not the best anyways especially his last one but it might be cool for you its low budget beginnings with the guy who invented the part and all the other Bond Actors who had their own take on the part. !!!!!!

god i miss the 90s i was 17 when i saw this in 97. i got everyone i knew into this movie. always thought it was more like the shining. shame we will never get the original uncut version of the film. if the hell imagery looks familiar its because this film shares itself with the hellraiser universe aswell

Ok just to point out ofc he can't go back to earth nobody would want him there they would try to kill him and although yes forgiving Nolan is next to hard but he is trying to do good like he couldn't before on earth it's just what it is that's the point of his redemption even tho he doesn't want to be forgiven he was one of the only viltrumites to gain emotion and want to be a hero and SPOILER: In the comics he goes on to become a hero or redempted because he truly was sorry for what he done and comes back to earth to be with mark and apologize to debbie which they both love each other and move to another planet together, i love you and your content but i think your a little to hated towards nolan like true D1 Hater

To me also javier bardem showed a topnotch villain - no shouting, no screaming. Just a calm, surgical mind and in his emotions - yes you can recognize his crazyness. But it lies right underneath his superficial behavior. If you're into that kind of villain I highly recommend the second sherlock movie with Robert Downey jr. -> "A game of shadows".
